KBB – NAGA CITY (KB30) CHAPTER IS NOW 20 YEARS OLD

SUBIC, Zambales -- Dr Armin S. Santos (33-02), co-founder and national chairman of the KBNet Philippines, Inc. (KPI), a national network and umbrella organization of volunteer groups in the country, extended his congratulations to the officers and members of the KB Bicol – Naga City (KB30) Chapter which is celebrating its 20th charter anniversary today, July 16. “I am elated to note that KBB – Naga City is celebrating its 20th anniversary even as I remember that I had the pleasure of meeting the KB30 chapter officers in a national convention held in Subic 20 years ago”, Santos said in a text message to Sir Jennis I. Nidea (30-01), co-founder and national president of KPI. Santos who founded the Kabalikat Malaya Federation, now with more than 50 chapters majority are based in Northern and Central Luzon said “I congratulate the KB30 for its evolution to serve its community – starting with Radiocom, to Civicom and now KB Bicol (KBB). KB Malaya and KBB together with the KB Mediacom, KBNet Quezon, KBNet National Capital Region and KB ng Masa are the member-organizations of the KPI. KB30 was organized as Camarines Sur (KB30) Chapter of the Kabalikat Radiocom on July 16, 1993 with 21 original (chartered) members – Nidea (30-01), Duke Maggay (30-02), Gerry Obias (30-03), Ramon Barreda (30-05) who was elected chartered president, Sammy Garcia (30-06), Vicente Garchitorena (30-07), Fr. Sonny Guadalupe (30-09), Honesto Dumalasa (30-10), Amado (30-11), Arthur Israel (30-13), Atty. Jun Borja (30-15), Nelson Elcanil (30-16), Boy Gaspar (30-19), Bongalonta (30-20 aka 2000) and Cecile Garchitorena (30-21) . The original 04,12, 14, 17 and 18 did not continue their membership and was replaced. Santos, a double PHD holder -- Doctor in Social Development and in Sociology -- urged the KB30 officers and members and all the chapters of KPI’s member-organizations to continue to the good work through voluntary services to the communities. “What one does for himself, dies with him. What one does for his community, lives long even after he is gone”, he stresses.
